ULTRA-SENSITIVE SIMOA (SINGLE MOLECULE ARRAYS) TECHNOLOGY FOR EXTRACELLULAR VESICLES DETECTION AND EV-DERIVED BIOMARKER PROFILING

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are involved in a variety of biological functions and contain a plethora of nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, and metabolites. While there has been a strong interest in its potential for biomarker detection and liquid biopsy applications, there are critical challenges with EV isolation, enumeration, and biomarker profiling. This Session provides insight on the use of SiMoA technology to detect and quantify EVs directly from biological fluids with minimal sample pre-processing and profile EV-derived tumor biomarkers with ultra-sensitivity. This novel approach provides a highly sensitive and reproducible tool in EV liquid biopsy, biomarker discovery and validation, and relevance in clinically diagnostic and prognostic applications.

Lindsey Marsh PhD, Senior Field Application Scientist at Quanterix, will provide insight on the use of SiMoA technology to detect and quantify EVs directly from biological fluids with minimal sample pre-processing and profile EV-derived tumor biomarkers with ultra-sensitivity. This novel approach provides a highly sensitive and reproducible tool in EV liquid biopsy, biomarker discovery and validation and both clinically diagnostic and prognostic applications.
